Pre-semester Announcements and Week#1 Assignments. (Please visit BUFS Eclass for links specific to your class)
I hope everyone had a good summer. I look forward to working together to make this semester as enjoyable and useful as possible. Below are several announcements and important things to know.
Week#1 of our course begins with two required live Zoom sessions.
Some professors schedule short, easy Week#1 classes. Not me 🙂 We’ll spend the full three hours getting acquainted and preparing for another interesting semester. Please arrive on time and be ‘Zoom Ready’ (audio and video enabled, face washed, coffee brewed 🙂
I know many of you are experienced Zoomers and are familiar with my Zoom policies. If not, please visit the Zoom Guides & Policies page for important information about my Zoom classes.
I have also scheduled two pre-semester Zoom Open Houses for all of my students. These are not required – just a chance to say hello, ask questions about the course, and/or test your Zoom setup.
(see Eclass for details)
To learn more about how I plan to teach this course, please watch the Pre-Semester Course Overview. Other than that, there are no assignments required before our first class and if you’d like to savor every last minute of vacation, I totally understand. Enjoy your downtime and be ready to ‘hit the ground running’ on Wednesday. If, however, you’d like to get a head start, information about Week#1 Tasks is available on Eclass.
I hope you enjoy the final hours of vacation and look forward to ‘seeing’ everyone soon.
